Competition Notes: For the avoidance of doubt, competitors shall understand that the rules and conditions of entry (listed below) are the sole terms under which the Bourne Valley Riding Club (BVRC) organises competitions. Competitors shall not enter BVRC events unless they have read, understood and fully accepted these terms. |

Each Class will be judged by one timed jump off. |

The competition & warm up will be run on all weather surfaces. |

BVRC General Rules and Conditions of Entry |
|
| 1. | All classes will be run in accordance with Official Rules for all British Riding Clubs' Competitions 2010. |
| 2. | It shall be deemed a condition of entry that neither the organisers nor landowners nor their agents shall be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage to competitors, onlookers, their property, servants or horses or ponies, howsoever caused. |
| 3. | Competitors shall be 16 years of age or older at the closing date for entry. |
| 4. | Horses and ponies shall be 4 years of age or older at the closing date for entry. |
| 5. | Horses may be ridden once only in each class. |
| 6. |
Correct dress shall be worn. Everyone mounted, whether competing or not, shall wear a hard hat to at least the minimum standard (EN1384), with a harness properly adjusted and fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination. Hard hats to specification PAS015:1998 or ASTM F1163 and BSEN14572:2005 are considered to offer greater protection than EN1384. Recommended hard hats should carry the quality assurance stamp of Kitemark, SEI. or QAS. American standard SNELL E2001, ASTM 95 and Australian/New Zealand standard SNZ3838 1998 are also acceptable. Skullcaps must be worn with a silk. Hair must be secured in a hair net or in such way that it does not hang lower than the shoulder line. Jewellery or any items worn in facial or body piercings are not permitted. Chaps or half-chaps may not be worn but black or brown polished leather gaiters with matching boots are permitted. Body protectors are strongly recommended. |
| 7. | The organisers reserve the right in the light of prevailing circumstances to cancel the event, alter classes, judges, times, prize money or any other published information. |
| 8. | In all cases the Judge's decision is final. Any objection shall be accompanied by a deposit of £20 and within half an hour of the incident. The deposit will be returned only if the objection is upheld. |
| 9. | Refund of entry fees will be made to only on production of a vet or doctor's certificate, except in the event of cancellation when all fees will be refunded less a small proportion to cover non-recoverable costs. |
| 10. | In the event of any dispute which cannot be satisfactorily resolved, the BVRC may, at its option, agree to a full or partial refund of the competitor’s entry fees. For the avoidance of doubt claims for consequential liability, expenses or other payments shall in no circumstances be accepted. |
| 11. | DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE SHOWGROUND. |

Faults for Show Jumping Classes: Disobediences which will be judged as: 1st Disobedience 4 faults, 2nd Disobedience 8 faults, 3rd Disobedience Elimination |
| 13. | For the avoidance of doubt and unless explicitly stated to the contrary, medical facilities on the showground will be limited to standard NHS accident & emergency callout. |
| 14. | Any veterinary services utilised (including horse transportation, accommodation or legal disposal of deceased animals) shall be charged to and paid by the competitor. The BVRC does not guarantee that there will be immediate access to a horse ambulance on the showground. Unless otherwise stated, the BVRC does not guarantee that there will be immediate access to veterinary services on the showground. |
| 15. | Any farrier services utilised shall be charged to and paid for by the competitor. Unless otherwise stated, the BVRC does not guarantee that there will be immediate access to a farrier on the showground. |
| 16. | BVRC does not guarantee that the showground is a secure site. BVRC cannot guarantee that the showground perimeter cannot be breached by runaway animals. It is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure, so far as is possible, that runaways cannot occur. |
| 17. | The BVRC’s responsibility for runaway animals shall be limited to informing the local civil or military police. All costs incurred in any recovery including the cost of any damages incurred during the incident shall be charged to and paid by the competitor. |
| Health & Safety Policy The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health & safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and shall obey the instructions of the organiser, and all officials & stewards. | |
| Every effort will be made to minimise waiting times between classes, but please remember that the event organisers and their teams are volunteers who give up their time for your benefit. | |
