Knighton Down

  

Knighton Down is adjacent to Larkhill military camp and so we cannot provide a map. Directions from the A303 are as follows:

Leave the A303 at Amesbury roundabout, taking the A345 to Durrington. At the next roundabout, where the A345 meets the A3028 from Bulford, turn left towards Larkhill Garrison.

Proceed through Larkhill village for about 1.5 miles and then turn right onto a cinder road signed BVRC. Follow BVRC signs for approx 1.5 miles and go through the white gantry and onto the showground.

Note: In the past we've recommended that a right turn be made before Larkhill village. You should not use this route - the cinder track is in poor repair and the camber at the far end is dangerous for horse boxes and trailers.
